YES. All new dogs attend a Meet & Greet at the Cosy Paws Home before their first stay. This gives you & your dog an opportunity to see the home environment and allows us to discuss their routine, personality, dietary needs, exercise requirements and any medical or behavioural considerations.
YES. Every new dog must complete a successful 24-hour trial stay before a longer booking can be confirmed. This helps us ensure your dog feels comfortable in our home, settles overnight and is happy around the other dogs in our care.
Dogs must be fully vaccinated and up to date with the vaccinations required by Cosy Paws, including Kennel Cough where applicable. Puppies must have completed their required primary vaccination course.
Proof of vaccination must be provided before your dog's stay. Please also follow any vaccination timing required by Cosy Paws.
YES. We can administer most prescribed and routine medication. Please supply enough medication for the entire stay in its original, clearly labelled packaging, together with written instructions explaining the correct dose and times.
All medication and relevant health conditions must be discussed with us before the booking begins.
Exercise is tailored to your dog's age, health, fitness, personality and normal routine. This may include local walks, countryside adventures, playtime, enrichment activities and time in our secure garden.
We also ensure dogs receive appropriate rest, particularly around mealtimes and after more energetic activities.
YES. We regularly use trusted private secure dog fields in and around Hemel Hempstead, giving suitable dogs the opportunity to run, play and explore safely.
Secure field visits depend on your dog's individual needs, behaviour, owner permissions, the weather and availability. Dogs are only exercised off lead where it is safe and appropriate to do so.

Cosy Paws can supply everything else your dog needs. You are welcome to bring a familiar blanket or a favourite toy if it helps your dog settle, but this is optional.
